July 13th 2006 4:55 pm - excitin day for both of us -we became parents of a lovely baby girl. have named her Kimaya - meaning divine in sanskrit. It is more than a month after she entered into our lives. My whole life has changed. Mood seems to be oscillating from one extreme to another. Yet to come to terms with the fact that it is a whole new responsibility - a big one at that!
We found the book 'First time parents by Dr. Miriam stoppard' extremely useful. Money well spent.
My advice to expecting parents - Dont educate urself too much on the subject - just stick to the docs instructions. That helps a lot.
